1 Timothy 1:12
Amplified Bible (AMP)
12I give thanks to Him Who has granted me [the needed] strength and made me able [for this], Christ Jesus our Lord, because He has judged and counted me faithful and trustworthy, appointing me to [this stewardship of] the ministry.
Has God called you to a ministry or service for Him? God very rarely chooses the most talented or the most beautiful person. We have many examples of this throughout the Bible. Moses had a problem with stuttering. David was a small, freckled, boy. Tradition says the Apostle Paul was short and fat.
God looks past all those things and looks at our faithfulness to Him. Maybe you feel totally inadequate to do what God has called you to do and you probably are but with His grace, He will enable you to do the ministry He has called you to. “God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called”. Remember that! The ministry is service. It is not for you to be served but for you to serve others. If you ever get to the place you think you are good enough you had better beware.
Proverbs 16:18
God’s Word Translation
Pride precedes a disaster, and an arrogant attitude precedes a fall.
There will always be those that will think they can do better than you and there will always be those who talk behind your back. Keep your eyes to the Lord and stay on your knees praying for His wisdom and guidance. Satan is the accuser of the brethren and unfortunately there are people, Christians included, who will join him but Satan is a defeated enemy!
Luke 6:28
American Standard Version (ASV)
28 bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.
As you pray for those that curse you and pray for those that despitefully use you, God will vindicate you! God will bless you and He will bless the ministry to which He has called you to.
